  1. Tracy Van Houten will take her collaborative and problem-solving skills to D.C. to fight for facts and the rights of everyone in the 34th. She is also one of only two candidates to receive an endorsement from a sitting congressperson – Jerry McNerney from California’s 9th district. In addition, the following have endorsed her candidacy: Janet Bandows Koster, CEO/Executive Director of Association of Women in Science; Bacilia Angel, board member Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, member of Latin@s in Science and Tech and DC Latinx in Tech; Rochelle Diamond, co-founder and current Chair of the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals; and Women In Media, an online community and grassroots group committed to gender parity in the entertainment industry. She has dedicated her life to engineering excellence and advocacy for STEM education, especially for women and minorities, and now she will put her heart and soul into working for Los Angeles. See her YouTube channel for a deeper look at her, and #VoteVanHouten on Tuesday! https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCkaUEQMJ6oGA1OZ_FKt6ZgQ
